The BiON Research company has had a policy in place since its original opening to never use an ingredient in any of their products that may be harmful anyone’s skin. BiON has a history of excellence in product development and ingredients, and refrains from using new ingredients until there is sufficient scientific evidence that the ingredient is safe to use and beneficial for the users. BiON Research’s belief is “If a treatment has already failed, why keep trying the same treatment?” For example: through research, Bion Research has found that Benzoyl peroxide can cause over-drying of the skin. The daily use of Benzoyl Peroxide on darker skin may cause post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, itchiness and or peeling. BiON has given specific attention to providing effective treatments with no side effects and no benzoyl peroxide. BiON Research skincare does not use benzoyl peroxide and uses a much lower dose of salicylic acid, yet still out performs nearly all other treatments! This shows that they use unique and innovative research to bring new and effective treatments to the market.

All of BiON Research Skincare products are completely free of Benzoyl Peroxide, Parabens, Mineral Oil, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate & Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLS & SLES,) Triclosan, Hydroquinone, Lanolin, Nanotechnology, and Synthetic Fragrances. There are hundreds of ingredients that include a fragrance and those added fragrances are responsible for allergic reactions in as many as 14% of the population. Believe it or not, manufacturers are not required to disclose actual fragrances in their formulas, they receive protection for such proprietary formulas. Synthetic fragrances are in the majority of common personal care products- even a portion of “natural” products use synthetic fragrance. Natural essential oils are the ideal fragrance and these are used in BiON products, only when necessary.
