Review: Obizza Anti Aging Serum with Marixyl 3000

If you follow me on social media, you now that I was recently given the opportunity to review Obizza's Professional Anti-Aging Serum, which contains Matrixyl 3000. This relatively new ingredient known as a major wrinkle fighter, and is often recommended to people who want the benefits of Retin A but did not react well to it. Matrixyl 3000 has been clinically proven to deliver visible anti-wrinkle benefits, which is why it has become wildly popular in newer skincare products.

This Obizza Serum uses Matrixyl 3000 as it's star ingredient, so I want to focus on that. The brand promises a reduction in the visibility of wrinkles, crows feet, and improved skin tone, and boast Matrixyl 3000's ability to help repair UV-Damaged skin and boost collagen.

As a skincare professional I am very particular about what ingredients go into my products, so I was happy to see that the formula also included shea butter and hyaluronic acid. Shea butter is wonderful for regenerating and protecting the skin while delivering immediate hydration to the skin, while hyaluronic acid attracts moisture to help nourish and plump up the skin.

My Experience

I was pleasantly surprised to read the ingredients label and find a number of peptides in the formula. With that in mind, the product does have a number of chemical preservatives, which is important to note if you are like me and prefer to stick with skincare that is as natural as possible. This is not necessarily a deal breaker, as most drug and department store brands have similar ingredients to keep their products fresher, longer. Rather, is is a personal preference and certainly good to note if you have sensitive of reactive skin! Always to a test strip before slathering the product directly on your skin.

I really liked the consistency and scent of this product. I am used to serums being clear or translucent, so realizing that the product was white was a bit of a surprise. That said, it settled into my skin much like a serum, and did not feel heavy or tacky.

My overall impression with this product was good. It was able to keep my skin looking good while I used this in place of my regular serum.
